I recently moved to a bungalow on a lake. The wildlife around the lake are quite plentiful but there have been a slew of abandoned babies. I recorded in memoirs about raising those babies: Py and Delaney the songbirds; Chip and Dale (two orphaned baby squirrels); Sleepy the baby bat; and the barn swallow family. A hawk had gotten into my neighbor’s chicken coop and the chickens were running free around the lake. I decided to befriend the chickens also.
